INTRODUCTION

Alemoto team, founded in 2000 by Alessandro Loprevite, works in motorbike competitions in different categories: Supermoto, Velocità e Motocross.

They are currently developing a motorbike called Gp11 and based on the existing model, Gp10. The target is to run in 2010-2011 Supertwin championship and, according to the technical rules, they will use a two-cilinder SV STD 650 cc engine. The overall weight (bike plus pilot) will be about 210Kg.

The overall work was split into different groups, each of them having the task of developing a specific component: chassis, aerodynamics, radiator, pro-link, rear swingarm, etc…

Our group has designed the rear swingarm of GP11 motorbike, designing a completely new part, based on a tubular truss structure, considering technical constraints and cooperating with the other groups.
