Umberto Cugini is Emeritus Professor at the School of Industrial Engineering of Politecnico di Milano. Over the years, his research interests have been: computer graphics, geometric and feature-based modelling, physics-based modelling and simulation, robotics and automation systems, knowledge-based systems for product development, engineering knowledge management, Business Process Reengineering, Human Computer Interaction, multimodal and haptic-based interaction, Virtual/Augmented Reality, Virtual Prototyping, emotional engineering, Topological Optimization, Systematic Innovation. He has been involved in more than 30 research projects: 15 of them have been funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research and 18 of them by the EU. more

Monica Bordegoni is full professor at the School of Design of Politecnico di Milano since 2004. Her research interests include methods and tools for virtual prototyping of products, multisensory interaction, haptic interaction, emotional engineering and creativity in product design, user experience. She is member of the Executive Committee of the ASME-CIE Division, and co-chair of the DesignSociety SIG on Emotional Engineering. She is the coordinator of the international School on Virtual Prototyping.
Gaetano Cascini is Associate Professor at Politecnico di Milano since 2008. His research interests cover Design Methods and Tools with a focus on the concept generation stages both for product and process innovation. He is member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Integrated Design & Process Science and of the International Journal of Design Creativity and Innovation. He is also Chair of the “Computer-Aided Innovation” WG of IFIP (International Federation for Information Processing). He is coordinator of the Marie Curie- IAPP- FORMAT project.
Giorgio Colombo is associate professor at Politecnico di Milano. In 1989, he started his research activities at ITIA-CNR in Milan. From 1992 to 2000, he has been assistant professor at Faculty of Engineering of Parma. Since 2001 he is associate professor. His research activities focus on: shape modelling, Knowledge Based Engineering, Computer Aided Design, Simulation techniques, Computer Graphics, Virtual Reality, robotics. He has been coordinator and responsible for the research unit activities in national and European research projects.
Gabriele Guidi (MS degree in Electronic Engineering in 1988, PhD in 1992) joined the University of Florence as researcher in 1995 and moved to Politecnico di Milano in 2004 where he is now Associate Professor. He worked for more than 10 years on researches about ultrasound equipment for biomedical imaging. Since 2000 he reoriented his activity by applying imaging technologies to the field of non-contact 3D measurements, exploring applications in various fields such as Cultural Heritage and Industrial Design.

Francesco Ferrise is Associate Professor at Department of Mechanical Engineering of Politecnico di Milano. He received a Ph.D. in Virtual Prototypes and Real Products from Politecnico di Milano in 2010 and a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering from Università della Calabria in 2005. His research interests focus on multisensory interaction, haptics and virtual prototyping. 
Niccolò Becattini is a research fellow of the Department of Mechanics of Politecnico di Milano since 2009. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. He also works as a teaching assistant for classes of Technical Representation Methods and Methods for Systematic Innovation. He is currently working on national and international funded projects. His researches focus on different topics concerning the domain of Innovation: Computer-Aided Innovation, Engineering Design, Problem Solving Theories and Methods, Technology Forecasting and Creativity.

Sara Gonizzi holds a Research Grant at the Department of Mechanical Engineering. After the Degree in Archaeology at the University of Rome in 2003, she achieved a Master in Cartography in 2005, a PhD in GIS in 2008 and a Research Grant from 2010 to 2011 at the University of Trieste. Since 2008, her interests regard the use of technologies employed in the field of Cultural Heritage and in particular 3D modelling with photogrammetry and laser scannig.
Aurelio Montalto is a PhD candidate in Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano since November 2014.
Dedy Ariansyah is a PhD candidate in Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano since November 2014. He received his M.Sc degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universitas Indonesia in 2013, where he conducted a research aiming at developing Augmented Reality (AR) applications for machining simulation of 3-axis CNC milling. His current research interest focuses on developing Virtualization systems for assisting the product design process.
Weibin Ding is a PhD candidate in Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano since November 2014. He has received his Bachelor degree in Arts from the Shanghai Institute of Visual Art - Fudan University in 2010, and the M.Sc degree in Design & Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 2014. He has been a student member of the Italian Industrial Design Association (ADI) and he has been granted with two utility-model patents during the master period.His current research interests include multisensory user experience and intelligent wearable device.
