Standard compliance
The reference normative about this product is the CEI 60335-1, which defines the security standards of the electrical devices designated for a domestic usage. Specifically, since the lack of actuators and other kinds of electrical or electronical devices in the system, it is referred to the section of the normative which describes the mechanical security standards.
This standards define that all the covering joints that preclude the access of moving parts have to be tested with a traction load of 50 N applied for 10 seconds without showing an evident yielding.
The doorlock of a domestic is really a covering joint of a moving part, so his blocking device must respect this standard.
Because of this, the minimum force requested for the opening must be superior than 50 N. However, we decided to impose an adequate safety factor designing the mechanism in order to have the opening with a traction load between 55 N and 65 N.
Here is shown the demonstration of the compliance.
(Full Access Model that remain closed under the effect an opening force of 50 N)
