Market Analysis

All the devices we have studied during the market analysis have the same operating principle of the Rold one, so in all these situations an external user could sabotage the mechanism.

In most of them the only difference with the Rold device is the position of the blocking cam: not vertical but horizontal.

(Four examples of devices with an horizontal blocking cam)

The problem is more serious in some of these contexts, where the blocking cam is more exposed to external damage due to a bigger entry hole, or when the above-mentioned cam is horizontal and with a flat surface.

These solutions give an advantage to the user that inserts external objects in the mechanism, because the cams are more easily compromisable.

The most interesting solutions are the last ones.

One obstacles the entrance of an external body with the presence of two little spheres, which try to obstruct the entrance.

Instead, the second one is a perfect rotational device. It offers, for each twitch a new hook where the pin can lean on and push the cam until the block position.

Unfortunately, this is not a self-repairing device yet because it should have at least three arms to ensure the correct working of the mechanism.
