EE-SIG Focus

As our world is becoming more and more open, we have to come back to the basics of engineering. We have to ask ourselves why we have to develop artifacts which are not available in the natural world. In an Open World, rational approaches are bounded and satisfaction is expected to take over from optimization. In fact, engineering began to satisfy our expectations. It should be noted that not only products but processes also provide emotional satisfaction. Further, emotion is very important for judgement and decision making. Our world is frequently and widely changing, so that only users understand what is happening now and have to judge appropriately in action to respond. The EE-SIG explores the important roles of emotion for providing satisfaction and judging in action.
